Default High idle

went today put the batt. in fired it up started right up but runs at 3ooo rpms at idle cant slow it down, pulled of air filter throttle bodies are closed and seem to open and close ok but cant slow down the idle. Anyone else have this problem? its an o7. thanks for any help

I haven't looked on the meanie but on my FI sport bike there is a knob you twist to adjust the idle.

try and turning the idle knob at the bottom of the right side air cover, also check the "choke" knob on the left side making sure that it is puched in.

Long flexible black cable with a black knurled knob on right side of engine under air filter(assuming you have an aftermarket air filter on right side) is for adjusting the idle.

tried the idle adjust knob that was 1 st thing i did.

Is the Cobra 2000 one of those fuel map devices? If so, might want to pull it and see what happens.

Let it warm up. Ride it some and see if it drops off. Get some Seafoam and put it in the tank. You might have a little varnish from sitting and it is causing it to stick a little.
Maybe clean the throttle body.

Check for a vacuum leak, and check the throttle cable adjustments.
